Provenance

Notes

Per Pearl Adams, her father had scrimped and saved to buy this violin around 1870 in London from a second-hand dealer. He played it constantly- his playing made him famous on the ship when he came to America with many impromptu dances springing up. He played it up until a few days of his death. Pearl inherited it and donated it to the museum.
