Description

32.01 Knife: Blade straight-sided with the lower edge curving up toward the point, the shoulder etched and gilded. 32.02 Fork: Two long, straight tines, a chiselled join and swelling neck. Handles: Cast, gilded brass, set with tortoiseshell scales in five faceted sections: the lowest one chased with acanthus foliage, the next two octagonal, the fourth globular and the last rounded with a beaded term finial. 32.03 Spoon: Rounded bowl and rat-tail, the back engraved with scrolls. 32.04 Scissors: Steel, of standard form with gilded chiselled handles. 32.05 Skewer: 32.06 Case: Cuir bouilli, tooled with gilded lacy decoration and a cupid at the base; a hook at the side for attachment to a belt.
