Description

Blade made in one with handle, with both parallel edges straight and the upper tapering sharply at the end to the point. Handle similar to 23.01 except that the sides are all engraved and represent musical instruments. (23.01 has: 'etched panel of conventional foliage at the base of each face. Flaring rectangular handle close-plated with silver. Nielloed with scrolling leafy ornament and a cupid on the wide sides, engraved with a rope moulding down the narrow sides. The pedestal-shaped finials covered with silver stamped with trophies and anthemion. The end of gilt-bronze.')
