Description

58.01 Knife: Blade slightly tapering, with slightly convex edge, the neck curving down to form the point; short baluster-shaped bolster flattened on each surface. 58.02 Fork: Head of silver, with two slightly curved, hollow tines of flattened claw-shape. Long tapering neck, linked to the handle by a short baluster-shaped bolster. Handles: Silver, cast in the form of a female forearm and hand, emerging from the mouth of a swan's (or duck's) head, terminating in a double scroll, and holding a pistol-shaped handle of octagonal section. 58.03 Case: Hardened leather, divided into two compartments, with a deep push-on cover; tooled all over with longitudinal bands containing scroll-work, and, on the case proper, the inscription \"Anno 1745.D 17th Septem\". 58.04 Cover: see above
