72.01 Knife: Blade straight-sided, the upper edge tapering toward the point. Handle of flaring shape, with a projecting ear on one side; it is of mid-blue colour enamel on copper, surrounding stamped silver floral scrolls, rosettes, knights, and ladies; the ferrule is of silver, stamped with a pattern of alternating chevrons and acanthus leaves.
72.02 Case: Similarly decorated, except that there are putti among the floral scrolls, and men in the full-bottomed wigs fashionable at the end of the 17th century; the ferrule and cap are also of stamped silver; the interior is lined with red velvet.Collection
