Description

Blade made of iron in one with the handle, tapering with a straight edge, and back edge curving down to form the point. Handle tapering, of flattened rectangular section widening at the top into a flattened, shaped feature, lobed on one side, and with a small button. The whole surface is engraved with decoration, now much defaced, which includes, on the broader faces of the handle, double volutes above classical trophies and candelabrum ornament (?), and on its narrower faces, reeding and bands of guilloche ornament, and scoll-work on the blade.
