236.01 and 236.02 Knives: The long slender blades with almost parallel sides and pointed ends. The long flaring bolsters damascened with a scrolling pattern in gold, and with the names of the monarchs represented by the handles, Mary (236.01) and Henry VI (236.02) on the sides. The latter bears the date 1612. The handles are carved in ivory. Mary being set with two garnets, and Henry with turquoise-cabochons.Collection
