Description

Blade with a straight edge, and back tapering toward the point; bolster of engraved brass, and originally with a brass strip running down each side (one missing), the remaining one engraved with an inscription in black-letter in ? Arabic script \"WAY DAY ROSE\". Handle is a continuation of the blade, formed by wooden scales pinned to it; a large flat cap in brass, is engraved on one side with a stylised rosette, and on the other, with the head of St Catherine.
