Head with straight steel tines, flaring out at the points, on a long flattened, shaped neck. Handle straight and tapering, made of iron with slightly pointed pistol pommel; rounded scales, each comprising a central tortoiseshell section between two silver sections; the tortoiseshell is picque with small silver circles, while the heads of the two securing rivets are formed as domed silver studs, decorated in relief with a shield between palm branches, charged with a sceptre, and surmounted by an electoral bonnet; the front silver section is stamped in relief with a standing figure of a classical (?) soldier holding a spear: the rear section covering the pommel is engraved with a pattern of overlapping feathers. In addition, the shaped feature in which the fork pivots, and the back, are faced with silver, the former engraved on each side with the arms of Saxony, and the latter, with scroll-work on a hatched ground.Collection
