Description

Blade with almost parallel back and edge, gradually widening toward the tip, where it curves sharply down from both back and edge to a point. Handle of brown agate, octagonal in section, tapering from the rounded top down to the bolster; short bolster banded in silver, with repousse decoration of alternate roses and crowns; at mid-point of the handle is a silver band, plain, with serrated pattern edges. The finial is a silver button and washer.

Company Connection: Thomas Bradford, Master in 1676. The mark was granted to him on 11th December 1651 and confirmed on 25th March 1664. On 14th November 1684, his widow, Anne, then married to Henry Gardner, sold the mark to Job Worrall, (Master 1715).
