Description

1939 pattern US Army service coat, wool serge OD (enlisted). Button up front with gold US army insignia buttons. 2 breast front and waist pockets with golden US army insignia buttons. Epaulettes on shoulders also with US army insignia buttons. Made in Philadelphia and dated 7/10/42. Insignia: Left sleeve- 8th Armored Division, Staff Sergeant, 3 overseas service stripes. Right sleeve- 3rd army, staff sergeant. Unit commendation patch. Ribbon Bars-European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign with 3 bronze stars, WWII victory, good conduct, american campaign. Left breast- 2 marksmanship badges for rifle and carbine. American campaign medal. Collar- Enlisted US insignia pin, Enlisted armored force. Right breast- Honorable discharge or ruptured duck.
