Description

Motor Vehicle Operator's permit (or license) issued to Harry Fulton, Truck Driver in 4th Engineers Battalion. Blue cardstock, folded in half. On front, black printed text: "MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S / PERMIT". With typed information below, indicating that the owner is the 4th Engineer Combat Battalion and that the duty station is "U.S.A." and "Europe." Permit is numbered "68" at top. On inside, permit is identified as QMC form 228, and owner's information is handwritten and typed: "Pfc. Harry Fulton (with signature). Indicates that Fulton is authorized to drive cargo trucks from 1/4 ton up to 2 ton. A handwritten note at bottom authorizes him to drive in the UK. Permit guidelines printed in black on reverse.
