Clayton Hale was a native of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and graduate of Brewster Academy. He tragically became the first Wolfeboro resident killed in World War II after his plane was shot down while flying the "Hump" over the Himalayas in the China-Burma-India Theater of the war.Update Date
