Camp Ball Nut used by Amity Warme on her ascent of the Book of Hate. Amity has been climbing hard free climbs on Yosemite rock faces without rappelling in from above to preview or trying to work out the difficult sections before trying the climb. Amity is known for starting at the ground and figuring out the moves as she climbs them. Her style is much more committing and does not guarantee success.

This Ball Nut manufactured by CAMP was used by Amity Warme on her ascent of 5.13d Book of Hate route in Yosemite's Elephant Graveyard. Here is an excerpt from Gripped Magazine in January 2024: "On Nov. 22, merely a week after freeing her fourth El Cap route – El Niño 5.13c — Amity Warme ticked the 45-metre 5.13d Book of Hate in Yosemite’s Elephant’s Graveyard. The route in the Lower Merced Canyon, located across from the Cookie Cliff and bolted by Rolland Arsons and Randy Leavitt, is an ever-steepening desperate stemming corner protected by bolts down low and a string of micro cams up high. Amity placed a ballnut at the crux, saying, “I ended up whipping on that once pretty good, but it held, so I used it on the send go also.” Amity gifted the piece of gear to Ken Yager in 2024.Collection
