Context

This is a tube chock manufactured in the 1970s by Chouinard Equipment. This is a number 4, which indicates it was designed for a 4 inch crack. It was donated by Tom Frost and has a longer sling attached, to wear over your head and shoulder which was more common in the 1960s. See attached the advertisement in the The Great Pacific Iron Works 1973 extra leaflet.
