Early Rhode Island laws, and an early Rhode Island imprint. "A continuation of the third revision of Rhode island laws" -Benedict.
The first revised laws of the colony were printed in Boston in 1719; the second and third revisions were printed in Newport in 1730 and 1745, respectively. The present compilation is considered a supplement to the 1745 edition. Unlike, the revisions, which are ordered by topic, this is arranged chronologically by session.
Printed by Benjamin Franklin's nephew and former apprentice, James Franklin, Jr. Young James and his mother Ann Franklin were, at this time, official printers for the colony of Rhode Island.Other Names and Numbers
