This volume of the Journals of the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania contains vital records from the period of the American Revolution. Printed in this volume are the Proceedings of the Provincial Conference of Committees, the Declaration of Indepenedence, the Proceedings of the Convention of the State of Pennsylvania, and the Aritcles of Confederation. A volume of utmost interest and importance, recording in detail the major legislative actions of the founders from the seat of the American revolutionary activity. The House ordered two hundred copies of this volume printed, thus there were never more than that number in existence.

Printed by the famed John Dunlap who printed the original Declaration of Independence broadsides in July 1776. Albeit a much later version, this book contains a Dunlap printing of the Declaration.
