This set of thick, chunky checkers is modeled on the style of traditional turned wooden pieces, but rendered in celluloid. Catalin would soon dominate the game piece business, making this quite a rare set -- the more so because these pieces have retained their creamy ivory tone rather than yellowing as Catalin does. These checkers closely resemble those advertised as Casein in the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog of 1930.Category
