Description

This pamphlet begins with the J.S. Ogilve ‘How to Play Modern Backgammon’ text and then provides 4 pages of Abercrombie & Fitch backgammon equipment. The photographs include an abundance of detail characterizing boards in circulation in 1930. Note that checkers are available in boxwood, ivory, and "Casein" -- a popular decorative plastic made from a milk protein and not to be confused with Catalin, the popular decorative checker material generally referred to as 'bakelite.'
