This Chicago-based company appears have been central to the 1930 surge in backgammon gaming. Its distinctively elaborate logo is seen on some of the more substantial game boards and checker cases (flat and tubular) of the period. Given that the first image of a doubling cube appeared in a a backgammon ad for Chicago's Marshall Fields, there is a fair chance that 'Clic Clac' was behind the production some of the earliest doubling cubes. The company is associated with backgammon author Ralph Bond due to the shared address and style of the logos seen here.
