Slightly curved, single-edged steel blade. One side is etched with eagle above a ribbon, "E. Pluribus Unum" and flanked with other decorations. The opposite side of the blade is etched with designs and "US". At bottom of blade near hilt is, "U / Clauberg / Solingen" in an oval around a man [maker's mark?]. Bronze or brass hilt with handles covered in fish or shark skin. Nickel-plated scabbard has bronze or brass tip and bands with loops that hold chain (not original), but plating is badly worn.Dimensions
