Mulit-colored velvet and satin star pattern quilt with large star in the center and a black velvet medallion in the center of that. The medalion has an embroidered bouquet in the center with script in white around the perimeter reading, "To Henry Clay from Ladies of Phila." The surrounding white background forming a large sqaure around the medallion had embroidered flowers in each corner. Lattice work strips contain each star. There are 54 pieces of lattice. There are 30 half squares (and half stars) around perimeter and 88 full squares containing full stars. Pink and green fringe around 3 edges of quilt (not at top).Dimensions

Measurement includes the fringe. The center medallion is 13" diameter. The center black square is 21" across. The white strip enclosing the black circle is 3" wide and therfore makes that square 27" across.
