Description

The broadside has been framed in a modern, plain black wooden frame. Rectangular silk broadside, titled "PRESENTATION OF A MEDAL TO MR. CLAY." Broadside printed with extract from the National Intelligencer [newspaper, Washington, DC], February 10, 1852. Extract contains text in two columns of the presentation of the medal to Clay by the citizens of New York, plus Clay's address upon receiving the medal. A description of the medal is also listed at the end of the broadside. The text is enclosed inside a decorative border. The sides of the broadside are turned over and stitched. At the bottom of the broadside is the printer's info, "GEO. F. NESBITT & CO., PRINTERS, CORNER OF WALL AND WATER STREETS, NEW-YORK."
