This building is also of painted mother of pearl. The interior of the portfolio is lined with cream material. Inside the top is a three-pocket expanding folder. Above address is an illustration of a building [associated with New York? Mayor? Same building as on back of portfolio]. Page three begins the text of the preamble and resolutions presented by the City Council of New York, which continues through page five and is signed by D. Valentine, the Clerk of the Common Council and is dated July 1, 1852. The page three illustration is of the "Union" engraving.
