Round gold-toned (brass?) medalet. On front is a left profile bust of Clay with "Henry Clay / The Ashland Farmer" above, flanked by stars, "1844" below neck and Born April 12, 1777" at bottom. On reverse, a scale is depicted with "1840 / Democrats / Whigs" in the center, "weighed in the balance and found wanting" around perimeter. A hole is drilled through the top. It is contained in a plastic case.
