Cream-colored silk ribbon with printed image of Clay in center oval with flag draped around it. Oval is beneath an eagle holding a shield in its mouth with a starburst in the background. Above eagle: "The honest statesman, his Country's steadfast friend. / HARRY of the WEST." Beneath Clay: "YOUNGMEN'S WHIG NATIONAL / CONVENTION held in BALTIMORE / May 2d, 1844." Enclosed in a wreath beneath that: "The Farmer of Ashland. / Honor to Whom Honor is due." And the manufacturer's [?] name beneath that in fine print: "Bannerman So."
