April 27, 1860 passport to Henry Clay aged 26 years. Bound in black leather with "Henry Clay." and an eagle beneath it embossed in gold on the front flap. "Passport" is embossed in gold letters on the flap strap. Inside has folded linen [?] paper document adhered to case with description of bearer and gilded pages with stamps from various countries.
