Ivory cotton corset. Very heavy boning. It has very close together bones made of metal or bone on sides. Down back are 2 metal straight rods covered in leather. The two are laced together then each is laces to a side of the corset. These side edges are covered with leather, there are 2 straps that are attached to another undergarment. In front there are 5 sterling silver buckles to fasten the corset. The attaaching straps have metal hooks and button closures. Side expandable vents are on both sides of the corset at top. 2 cotton patches (used for protection of rubbing under the arms) are attached front and back on both sides. 2 more straps (padded) that attach in the middle of the back and at the top and band may come around arms. The buckles have a floral design and say, "Grip Mr" on them. Both patches at arms say, "Kleiners / The Best Kleiners / Jubilee / TMMKG U.S. PAT off. / Guaranteed / made in USA / G 2 F 50". Outside of the corset has floral brocade appearance, All laces have metal holes, with 5 holes at top and bottom. Patches have organic substance in them. Back strap says, "PHILO BURT (?) MFGC / Jamestown, NY USA / Reg US. PAT off". Philo Burt manufacturing company began producing "Spinal Appliances" in 1890. This was probably a medical device.Dimensions
