An 1844 Henry Clay white metal medalet. On the obverse is a side view bust of Henry Clay above which is the inscription, "A halo bright as day shines around the head of Henry Clay." At the bottom is the inscription: "Non Sibi Sed Patriae 1844." On the bottom of the bust are the initials: "A.C.M." On the reverse is a shield divided quarterly with a train in the top left, a ship in the top right, an arm and hammer over an anvil at the lower left, and a plow at the lower right. The shield is surmounted by an eagle and four flags surround it at the bottom. At the top reverse is the inscription: "Protection to the working class is an assurance of success." At the bottom reverse is the inscription: "Auspicium Melioris Aevi."
