This is a mantle clock with a reverse painted image of Henry Clay in the door. The case is mahogany veneered with engaged columns and curved crest. The clock has gilt decoration on the columns and crest. The door has a keyhole with ivory diamond-shaped surround. The face is cream colored with Roman numerals, sprigs of foxglove-like flowers in the corners, and a wreath in the center around the hub where the hands meet. The works are wooden. The clock has a brass pendulum and two weights.
