Henry Clay portrait, oil paint on canvas in gold gilded wooden frame. It is the inital study(sketch) of painting that is part of the "Famous Five", on display in the Senate Reception Room, National Capital, Washington D.C. The final piece was unveiled in March 12, 1959, along with a portait of John Clahoun, Robert La Follette, Sr., Robert Taft, and Daniel Webster. The project was completed to honor five of the Senates most outstanding former members. It was decided May 1, 1957 that Clay would be among those honored.Dimensions
