Description

This is a wooden cane with the words "Clay and Frelinghuysen" shallowly carved into it. There are words that seem to be painted on including "1840 to the right of "Clay and Frelinghuysen" and the words "1840 Harrison & Better Times 1888" on the opposite side. There are also the words "J.S. Williams" on the end of the handle of the cane in black lettering. The maker is unkown. The end of the cane tapers into an eagle head with two eyes carved out on either side.
