The picture is sepia toned, but was probably one black and white and has discolored with age. The men stand in front of machinery in about 3 long rows. The picture has a note written in white in the bottom right corner that says, "Thompson Photo Los Angeles D255". There is a printed note added into the frame in the bottom left corner that says, "WWII Photograph of USS Ashland (LSD-1) crew".
