Watercolor painting on heavy paper of King Rene, a brown horse with black legs, tail and mane. Matted with light blue mat and painted "King Rene" in black letters below painting. Bottom left of painting in black letters "H.S. Kittredge Apr 26 - 1879." On back of picture: "J.V. Escott & Sons. / 4th Ave. Louisville, KY / Farmers & D---? Bank / Market St. near 4th Ave." Painting is in what looks to be the original gilded frame which has some incised design.Dimensions
