Set of china including eleven bowls, one plate, and one serving dish. All pieces have similar design and decor -- White and powder blue with gilt edge to separate colors and a gilded floral design around edge.
The bottom of each bowl is marked with manufacturer, "Dresden," in blue & "Ges. geschutzt" in blue. Each bowl is also marked with "1901/244" in orange. The plate & serving dish have some manufacturer's mark, but the plate is numbered "2980/244" & the dish "1874/244." On the bottom of most of the pieces, some under the Dresden mark, is a faint impression of a crown. Wares with this mark were made especially for Ahrenfeldt & Son of New York. What is the relationship of this mark with the Dresden mark?
On bottom of serving dish is same faint ipression plus another, "Zdekauer / Altrohlaugh" crossed out.Dimensions
