Item is a china plate witha gilded pattern and flower patterns on the front. The flowers are multicolored with four large ones, extending from the center. The center has what appears to be initials. There are two birds under each large flower. A ring of smaller flowers extend around the edge of the plate. Inside the edge there is what appears to be a pattern of birds. There is also gilt on the edge of the plate. There are three china marks on the bottom of the plate, (1) a diamond in red, (2) "H & Co" in green, and (3) another in red. The china mark is known as mark F from Haviland and Company, underglaze initials in green, underscored, used 1876-1880. There is also a written mark in red on the bottom of the plate, presumably made by the presenter of the piece to the recipient. The initials, written vertically, appear to be "F.T.G.", with a date written horizontally, "Aug. 1880."Dimensions
