China plates have a glazed finish. The center is white and the outer edges are blue with a gilded design on the rim. There is also a gilded design in the center. There are two sets of china marks on the bottom of the plates. Plates (a), (e) and (g) have "Haviland & Co / Limoges" in red with "H & Co / L / France" in green beneath it. Plates (b), (c), (d), (f) and (h) have "Haviland & Co" over a cartouche with "for / Arthur Kaye / Louisville, Ky" all in red with the mark "H & Co / L" in green below it.
