Metal letter box painted black, red, and gold. Painted on the lid: "Mrs. Susan M. Clay." Two red wax seals on front "The Adams Express 1004 Lexington." Also has a paper label on one end inscribed: "Mrs. Susan M. Clay, Louisville, KY." She was the wife of James B. Clay.
