Silas Leander and Mae L. (Townsend) Strivings. He was the husband of Clara (Behrens) Strivings. He served in the US Army during World War I. --October 18, 2013 - Thank you Mary M. Mann (FAG #47375215) for this obituary: Wyoming County Times September 3, 1968 STRIVINGS.--Roy T. Strivings, age 78, of Castile, a long-time civic leader, died August 25th. Active in several organizations: Wyoming County Fair, Castile Historical Society, Castile Community Club, Masons, etc; and was chaplain of World War I Barracks in Warsaw. Native of Portageville, wife, former Clara Behrens died 15 years ago; survived by son, Silas, of Castile; two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Russell and Mrs. Burton Pattridge, both of Rochester, two brothers, Rev. Roscoe Strivings of Phoenix, Arizona and Victor Strivings of Rochester, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
