The 25th Anniversary Celebration took place on several different days throughout 1985.
• February 17, 1985, the service celebrated the beginning of the church, a copy of the sermon “The Shape our Church is in” by Rev. Robert H. Midgley, church bulletin and a small pamphlet “… and a church is born!” and notes from the Kick-off Sunday
• Picture of the original members who returned for the anniversary celebration
• Color photo of the model that Joseph Halmo made of the church from the architect’s original plans
• Color photo of the drawing that inspired the church design
• A message and plea from the Church of the Red Rocks (Congregational) by Rev. Paul Edward Babbitt, B.D., Pastor addressing the need for contributions to the Red Rock Building Fund
• April 14, 1985, the church observed the second landmark, on Sunday April 3, 1960, about 30 people met in the Chanticleer Restaurant for the very first worship service
• Copy of the April 14 sermon “Crosses, Croissants and Ice Cream” by Rev. Robert Midgley
• Photos of the church building
• A series of “I Remember When” stories from original members, Faith Fuller, Alice Etter, Dorothy Tomkins, Kel Fox, Harriet McIntosh and Fred Potts
• Rev. Alice Snow was honored, and her photo was featured on the flyer for “The Christmas Fund”
• Photos of the first 8 ministers
• June 2, 1983, Conference Minister, Dr. Edward Hastings, came to help celebrate the application for affiliation with the United Church of Christ denomination
• Dec. 6, 1983, Silver Anniversary Celebration at Poco Diablo Convention Center, over 200 members were in attendance. Charles M. Jorgensen “unveiled his new book, “The First Quarter Century”.
