Scrapbook 5 covers church events from August 1985 through January 1989 with many newspaper articles, church bulletins, annual reports, church newsletters and photos. Included is Rev. George Ault sermon on Sept. 21, 1986, entitled “What is the United Church of Christ?” along with a chart of the origins of the U.C.C. A special Congregational Meeting was held on Oct. 16, 1988, to consider changes to the church bylaws. A copy of the 1988 Constitution and ByLaws is included along with Annual Reports for 1988 and 1989.
The Pony Express was the theme for the Stewardship Campaign which kicked off Oct. 1988 with a breakfast prepared by the Women’s Fellowship for 50 – 60 campaign volunteers.
The November 9, 1988, Building & Grounds Report listed the new CRR sign on Hwy 1979. Christmas concerts for 1988 and 1989 are reported on in the Canyon Echo. There are photos of the Sept. 1988 Women’s Fellowship lunch and the first Greening of the Church in 1987. The church offered two services, 9 am and 11 am beginning November 6, 1988.Publication Details
