GRANT RANDALL, 74, OF ELSIE, IS DEAD
Service Will Be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home
Grant Randall, 74, a resident of Elsie for many years, died Wednesday afternoon at Clinton Memorial hospital. He had been admitted as a patient that morning, and had been ill for three weeks. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Carter funeral home at Elsie with Rev. Kausman, Methodist pastor, officiating, and burial will be at Ford cemetery.
Mr. Randall is survived by his wife, Cora, and five children. He was formerly a farmer, and lately had been janitor at the school there.

SERVICE HELD FOR GRANT A. RANDALL
Was 74 Years of Age; Had Lived at Elsie for Past 23 Years
Elsie--Funeral services were held Saturday for Grant A. Randall, 74, resident of Elsie for the past 23 years, who passed away at the Clinton Memorial hospital of pneumonia on Wednesday. Services were held at the Carter funeral home with Rev. H. L. Kaufman, pastor of Methodist church, officiating, with burial in Ford cemetery.
Mr. Randall was born Aug. 10, 1868, the son of Francis and Cordelia Randall, in Calhoun county. At the age of 18 he moved to Shiawassee county where he worked in a mill and operated a threshing machine.
He was united in marriage to Miss Cora Fields in 1895 and later moved to Elsie where he operated a hatchery and marketed fruit and vegetables. Mr. Randall loved nature and had contributed many articles to Farm and other magazines.
He leaves his widow, Cora; four sons, Lawrence of Norway, Mich., Clarence of Okemos, Francis of Bath, and Corp. Ronald Randall of the U. S. Army Air Force; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Della) Dixon of St. Clair Shores; and 13 grandchildren.
