Description

One pair (of three; see G2011.026, 027) of hand knit fine white cotton gloves with beaded floral decorations worked on the back of the hand; fancy single shell stitched border or cuff. The little finger is worked to overlap the next one. Little gussets between the fingers. This is the largest pair in the set of 3. The backs have a large pink rose with foliage and smaller flowers. Beneath the cuff is a beaded border of a vine with sky blue flowers. A border surrounds the thumb seam, made of bands of the different colors of beads. Other bead colors are opaque pink, transparent pine green and amber.
