Black Jet Bugle Beads on Puffed Bustled Skirt

Description

Black taffeta bustle skirt with exaggerated puffed hipline either side of body; beaded bugle fringe accents the puffed hips; Skirt has underlining of brown muslin; top portion of yoke is muslin with silk taffeta smooth and tight overlay; 4-1/2" below waistband of brown muslin begins 4" of shirring in 2 vertical rows 1" in width - from the shirring begins the exaggerated hip peplums with the 2" of sewn on beading which circles entire peplum; bead fringe extends from the sewn on beading trim of peplum; outer layer of taffeta is in large pleats hidden under peplum; these pleats are 13" in length with a fold just above the second pleat line; this fold covers up the sewn together pleats; the second set of pleats are 3" box pleats (definite definition of formed pleats (20 circle dress). Bottom flounce of pleats are in two rows of 1" box pleats 3" in length; this flounce is attached to brown muslin 7" from hem; muslin is attached at different places to taffeta; 1st at yoke piece; back is all one piece of muslin; front 2nd attachement is at bottom of peplum which holds the flounce. Back close has a 23" width panel flap that extends 22" in length to just above pleated section; close is one large button (missing and placket opening; Dark brown braid 1/2" wide weights hem.
