Stewart Richmond, Ont [abbreviated: Ontario] Dear Sir, I regret very much the occasion to write of the death in action of your son, 145820 pte [abbreviated: private] S.I. [abbreviated: Sefton Inglis] Stewart with this battalion. He was a good soldier and fell fighting bravely in the advance of Aug 8th. [abbreviation: August 8, 1918]. He could not have done more nobly and we all have your pride and sympathise with you in this loss. He is buried with his comrades near where he fell.
