Description

The second Americus Club clubhouse, built 1871, which continued to served as a rendezvous site for members of William "Boss" Tweed's Society of St. Tammany. The building was remodeled as the Morton House hotel in 1880, later became the Indian Harbor Hotel, and finally was demolished in 1897 by E. C. Benedict.
