Description

Nixon Hall, 262 Main Street West, a brick home built by Dennis Nixon in 1845. After the Deer Park hospital burnt down in 1948 the owner at the time, Pearl Walker, offered Nixon Hall as a temporary hospital for 14 months. During that time, over a 1000 patients were treated at the Nixon Hall and 288 babies were delivered.
