Memorial Gates, Queens Lawn Cemetery Grimsby, OntDescription
The gates at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery are made from local red stone. They were erected by the women of the churches in the district in honour of the men of Grimsby and North Grimsby who died in the First World War. The gates were unveiled on August 27th, 1921, at the Old Boys and Girls Reunion. One hundred years later, the gates were refurbished and rededicated by the Grimsby Historical Society.Collection
