Description

The July 1921 collapse of the Elm Street bridge over the Forty Mile creek. William Rooker was killed and five other men injured when their five ton Ofield's Greenhouse Company Packard truck crashed through the steel bridge when a girder became displaced. The Town replaced the bridge with a new concrete structure which opened in mid November that year.
