Lions Club Carnival - 1964Entry/Object ID
P2006-01-20-09-36Description
Every July, the three nights of the carnival drew in large crowds of people. The attractions included shows, performers, clowns, booths for games of skill and chance, a Ferris Wheel, merry-go-round, refreshments and prizes. Draws ranged from ones and Flemish giant rabbits to stereos and watches. With the money raised the Lions Club assisted many community causes. In the early years the carnival was held on grounds where the Grimsby Museum is today and later moved to the Public School property on Livingston Avenue. The carnival operated from 1937-1960.Context
